Blythe is 21 months old, 28 pounds, and 33 1/2 inches tall. She loves to color, paint, and play with play dough. What she really loves more than playing with these things is eating them. She is really into pointing out colors like "pink and ellow"
Blythe has become really attached to her "yankie" or blankie and her "bobbie" or pacifier.
She knows most of the names of body parts and likes to point out eyes, nose, and mouth on people, dogs, and her baby dolls. She points to her belly button and calls it her "butt", so we are still working on that.
She loves to take care of her baby dolls. She plays pat-a-cake with them, she pretends to burp them and says "cuse me" after. She kisses them, cuddles them, and the other day I saw her blow raspberries on one of her baby's tummy. So sweet!
Blythe loves to sing and "ance". She will be dancing and then yell "feeze" freeze on the spot. She loves to sing her ABC's, especially "LMNOP". Some more favorites are Twinkle, twinkle Little Star, and the Itsy Bitsy Spider. She also loves books. She likes to be read to and pretend read to herself. Some of her favorite books are the Little Critter books by Mercer Meyer. She loves to point out the animals on each page.
Her favorite thing is to play outside and chase after Kirby. We go on an average of 3 walks a day. Blythe is absolutely obsessed with "Melmo" or Elmo. She loves to watch Elmo, color Elmo, and read about Elmo. When I go in to get her in the morning the first thing she says is a list of all the things she wants and it goes in the order, " bobbie, yankie, milk, Melmo".
Blythe is talking a lot and most of the time we can understand what she is saying! She will pretend that she is talking on the phone and she always answers saying "Hi-Yo, Yes, OK". She has also started climbing into her high chair and saying "hungie" or "snack". Her favorite foods are cheese, beans, crackers, bananas, fruit squeezes, and cookies.
Blythe is so full of life and has an extra special personality. I laugh all day long and I am loving every minute with her. I just wish she would slow down, I can't believe she is almost 2!!
